Dear friend!

We know that there are a lot of things demanding your attention. That is why we ask for your attention for a few minutes. We kindly ask you to read this news letter in the spirit of prayer. We believe that we will have the grace of the Lord to continue the media and campaign work that we have seen to bless so many people. But we need your help!

The economy of the world is being shaken

Since last autumn we have experienced shakings on the financial world. God, however, does not shake, and sits firmly on His throne. But we have been noticing that our media and campaign work has become more difficult in the financial sense in the end of last year and in the first half of year 2009. We have continued our TV and radio broadcasts at about the same rate as previously, even increasing it to some extent. But we haven't been able to pay our bills as well as previously, and we now have overdue bills for about 19,500 euros. These are mainly bills to TV7 and Radio Dei.

As you know, we purchase broadcast time both from TV7 and Radio Dei. Also, producing new TV programmes is quite expensive. We would not like to retreat and quit programmes. However, it seems that we have no alternative but to quit the "Our land Finland" programme, that is broadcast on Friday evenings on Radio Dei. But instead of quitting it would be much better to increase the support income and in that way to be able to pay the debts and to reach forward with preaching the Gospel.

Faith Festival of Finland and willingness to give offer to missionary work

Someone said like this: ”This was so far the best conference in the history of the Word of Life.” Yes, it was great to see people to get together from many congregations and from all over the country. The preaching was full of faith and up-lifting. The Lord gave us special encouragement through the visit of Steve Hill. The Israel meeting was also encouraging, the Israeli Ambassador Avi Granot and the leader of  the European Coalition for Israel, Tomas Sandell, were speaking there.
It was also great to see large offerings to missionary work - partly to Columbia and partly to the European Coalition for Israel, altogether over 11,000 euros.

However, there was too little to cover the festival expenses. The missing amount is about 15,000 euros. This money is needed relatively soon, so we have faith in God and our friends that we will receive a strong "in flow" right now.

What can we do? Yes, it is possible!

We have right now a deficit of almost 35,000 euros. But we do not lose our courage - it is possible to survive the situation. But how should we act? I'll give you a few suggestions.

1. We need more of those who stand together. The calling, vision and mission is not given just to a few. We can and need to be many - people who join together to reap the precious harvest and to build the body of the Christ.

That is why we ask you: Can you help us to get more partners? Can you tell someone both about these possibilities as well as needs? Try to "win" at least someone or several people, who become those who pray for us and are montly financial supporters for this work.

2. An extra gift.  Can you reach out a little further right now and give an extra gift in addiotion to your usual gift? Ask the Lord what He wants you to do. He will speak to you. Put yourself into His use - you can probably give some extra to the work of the Lord.
   
   

3. Company. Maybe you are an entrepreneur, or know someone who is. Entrepreneurs can sponsor us from their companies. Please contact us, so we can tell you more.

4. Congregation of prayer group. You can inspire the congregation where you belong (or another congregation) to stand by us, in the way that they can give an offering to the missionary work done inside Finland, to preach the Gospel to the modern day pagans in our own country. We are glad to visit the congregations and to tell more.
